'SOIL' by Alexis Starke - Yorkshire Fringe
We had the privilege of producing 'SOIL' by Alexis Starke as part of the opening day of the Yorkshire Fringe at The Attic in Leeds!!
The intimacy of both performances created an atmosphere that we'll remember for a long time, and hearing such thoughtful responses and reading the wonderful feedback afterwards has made us incredibly proud.
We first programmed SOIL as part of ORIGINS back in February, and it meant the world to us that Alexis trusted a brand new production company with her work. From starting at scratch performances at Foundations and Arts at the Arms, to a full production at Seven Arts, and now to the Yorkshire Fringe!
We're so proud of Alexis, Alfie and Meg, whose talent, commitment and generosity have made this production what it is. Every performance has reminded us why championing new writing matters!
A huge thank you also goes to everyone at The Attic for all of the support and hard work that went into making yesterday happen. It genuinely didn't go unnoticed, and we really appreciated everything the team did for us.
Finally, thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, spread the word, or came along to support new work and a new era of creatives. Independent theatre only exists because people choose to show up, and we're incredibly grateful that you did!
We've already had some really exciting conversations about what's next for us as a production company, and we can't wait to share more when the time is right!!

A Rehearsed Reading of 'The Peasants Feast' by Brandon Robinson-Connolly
Following a strong audience response at ORIGINS – Theatre in Development, Finding Our Feet are delighted to return to Seven Arts with an expanded rehearsed reading of The Peasants Feast by Brandon Robinson-Connolly!
Originally presented as a short extract, this performance will showcase a longer version of the play in its current stage of development, featuring a larger cast and deeper exploration of its themes. This script-in-hand reading offers audiences the opportunity to experience the work-in-progress and contribute to its continued evolution!
The Peasants Feast is a bold and visceral exploration of student party culture, ritual, and the complexities of young adulthood. Blending realism with heightened theatricality, the play examines identity, manipulation, and the pressures that shape behaviour within intimate social groups.
This sharing is part of Finding Our Feet’s ongoing commitment to supporting new writing and emerging artists by providing a platform for work in development!!
Let The Feast Begin…
Content Advisory:
The performance contains strong language, substance and alcohol misuse, references to intimacy, and acts of violence. The play includes language and attitudes that are derogatory towards women; these are presented intentionally to interrogate and critique real behaviours and social dynamics.
Recommended age: 15+
ORIGINS - Theatre In Development
We’re incredibly proud to share that ORIGINS - Theatre in Development officially sold out Seven Arts, Leeds for our first public theatre event!!
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported new writing, emerging directors, actors, and the next wave of performance work coming through - especially here in the north! Nights like this only exist because audiences choose to show up for work in development and believe in artists at the beginning of their journeys!!
A huge thank you to our writers and performers for trusting us with their work and absolutely smashing it on the night! Sharing work in development takes courage, and the standard of talent on that stage was something special.
Thank you to Seven Arts for hosting us and for being so generous and supportive throughout the process - we couldn’t have asked for a better venue!!
And thank you to Tabitha Heidi-Brown for capturing the evening so beautifully through photography and videography - these moments now get to live beyond the night itself!
This was the first edition of ORIGINS, and it won’t be the last!
We’re just getting started...
